i'll probably get 1943 out of nostalgia, not sure about BC2; if it is too COD-like, i might skip it and play 1943 until BF3 is released.

The announcement compounds my opinion on not buying 1943. BC is a good game in it's own right and because of the first game in this run off series being a great game, in both SP and MP I'll buy BC2. It's that simple.

But, from what I can see, 1943 is only going to be a £tenner. A lot of people are treating it as a full priced game where it really isn't...

From what I've seen, 1943 looks like a remake of 1942 with the Frostbite engine. It looks like they've tried to capture the feel of the original game while adding a destructible environment and trying to maximize the number of "Battlefield moments."

I'm going to try to play both new BF games equally up until BF3, but I'll still will play 1943and BC2. Buying all 3 on release day.

Waiting to see demos ... if I notice any annoying detail from BF2 wont be buying anything.
