The music was some of the best ever recorded for a video game.
When people ask me what my favourite song or piece of music is, I respond with: "Sniperescape_Run, Jeepride_Chase, Jeepride_Defense, Airplane_Alt, Armada_Start and ICBM_Tension."
I agree, Call of Duty is one of my favorites of the many video game soundtracks. I love lots of different pieces made for games including the Battlefield series' main theme.
The alpha version is probably nothing like it's final release, so I wouldn't worry about it being just a mod of COD4. They will probably make enough improvements to the game that it will be worth picking up MW2. I personally have played all the COD games, so I will be getting MW2 when it does come out.
And the Red Alert games had the best sound tracks. :P
So far my only down point to MW2 is the sound effects, i was a little sad to see the AK still sounds the same, but thats such a minor point that i know i wont even care when i get the game.
I already know ill be buying, no doubt in my mind on that one.
Sadly...ALL CoD games have had guns that sound like a grandma uses it to tenderize her food so she can chew it. Why, oh why can't the guns have more oomph! Granted, modern weapons are made better, but WWII guns were loud, hellooo "rolling thunder", not "stapleguns of doom".
Why are they copying Call of Duty 4? Same music, same guns sounds (Except new guns), and pretty much, same gameplay! So why get it if it's exactly like Call of Duty 4?
P.S= All it is that's different is the guns, maps, and missions.
You're posting this based on a few videos of the game?
Anyway, coming from somebody who has a BF2142 avatar and signature, I thought you were into that sort of thing.

They are copying it, because CoD4 was one of the best shooters created ( IMO they copied CSS )
They copied CSS when making CoD4...?
I find the two games very, very different. The gameplay is far from being remotely close. CSS consists more of police forces and terrorists groups rather than armies and rebellions. The only possible similarity is the modern setting of the games.
Also, Infinity Ward wanted to do a Modern shooter when they first broke off from 2015 and worked under Activision, but Activision already had a modern shooter being worked on. So they worked on a WWII game.
