What patches do I need?

I just bought the BF2 Complete Collection but I got some questions about the patches.

1) Do I need to install all the patches or can I just use the latest one?

2) Do I need to patch BF2 and BF2 SF separately?

3) I saw that new 1.5 Beta 2 patch, but does this work good? Because I saw that Vista and Widescreen support and that's handy!

Just download patch. 1.41 (full patch) and instal beta patch 2 over it (if you want to play without cheaters)

1.4 is all you need. Their are not a lot of servers for 1.5 beta so stick with 1.4, vista still works with 1.4

BF2 install order
BF2, 1.4, SF, 1.4, EF, 1.4, AF, 1.4

If you still would like to check out the beta, do this if you have the hard drive space

Or was that what you meant? :p

EDIT: I saw 1.41 was not a full patch, so Can I do:
BF2, 1.4, SF, 1.4, EF, 1.4, AF, 1.4 and then just install 1.41?

And that dual 1.41/1.5 looks cool. :awes2

1.41 is a full patch. AFAIK they never released any incremental version of 1.41 so you don't need any patches before it. (Maybe you are misunderstanding what 'full patch' means?)

Note that is wouldn't hurt anything if you did though; it just serves no purpose because SF patches you to v1.10 regardless of what you were at previously.

Really? I always thought trying to patch backwards with BF games was asking for trouble with unmodified content errors.

As long as you re-patch after SF any problems should be taken care of. Certainly trying to actually run the game after patching backwards without patching back up would probably cause issues because patching backwards probably wouldn't revert files that had been modified by the newer patch that weren't modified in the older patch. I bought and installed SF long after I had patched up to 1.41 and have had no issues after patching back up to 1.41 again.

EDIT: I normally run the game under Windows 2000 though; people who get lots of 'modified content' errors might be having XP firewall or Vista-related issues.
