I'm a great fan of EA and DICE (some even refer to me as a corporate fanboy!)

I think all companies make mistakes (which EA admitted), but they have tried to put things right and in my mind succeeded. I believe both EA and DICE are the best companies to take the Battlefield series forward and have great faith in their projects :)

I'll be a little more respect full on the BF series if they can go back and release 1.5 (1.51 for BF2142) over a year back. An BTW, the games been screwed up since 1.04, 1.4 just knocked the final nail in the coffin. The game played fine from 1.02 to 1.03 (Wake), everyone in our clan started having problems from 1.04 (hit detection and lag) and up. Clan enrollment for the BF section started to seriously drop off after Special Forces was released because of all the new bugs that introduced. So don't say the problems only existed since 1.4 and were quickly fixed in 1.41.

WOW!! I have to admit after reading that post I finally understand whats been going on all these years. Hats off to the new bf2 team. I wish we had these guys 4 years ago.

How many QA guys? I take it they were paid and not volunteers. Thats a lot of wages to pay out for a game that most of the people they are fixing it for have already bought. And its a free patch, not like they are going to make money out of it. All you hear on the forums is "if they don't make money from it, they won't do it". Well bo**ocks to that. I got my £30 out for the game a few years ago and it is still rewarding me. I've gone through more PCs in that time than copies of the game. My latest rig cost £700, and I'm sure many people have spent more, but you don't hear anyone losing the plot at Intel/Microsoft(well sometimes)/Nvidia... and you don't get a lot of their hardware for £30.

My point is (yes I do have one) that you spend a measly couple of tenners on a game and think you own the company, and tear strips off them purely based on ignorance. BF2 has doubled the value of my PC to me for a fraction of the cost.

It's good to hear Bazajaytee explaining to the masses what the real story is.

personally, I live near some EA offices and when I walk past their building, I silently thank them for making the epic series that is Battlefield. It has given me so much f--ing good times over the past 5 years and it's still just as fun. I love that new players are still creating accounts, and that I can play it for 4 hours straight and feel like only 10 minutes have passed. Pure win.

wow their really is some stupid posting over there.

someone posting a list of *fixes*, that should only take a dev 1000+ hours to fix / implement on a 4 year old game. ban soloing , 2 nades per kit!! - ok that might be fine for people with a .5 kdr, but for the guys with a 2,3 or 4:1 kdr that would blow. And finally "the future of dice will be decided based on how good 1.5 is".

Results speak louder than words and it been 5 frign years since Dice gave a Sh%t about pc gamers and still nothing in the horizon
