X-Men Origins: Wolverine for PC?

Has anyone played X-Men Origins: Wolverine for PC yet? Is it the PS2 version, or just really buggy? How is it as a game?

I'm just hoping it isn't another Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man 3, or Spider-Man: Web of Shadows. Can anyone allay those fears for me? Marvel games haven't been quite stellar lately...

Why would it be the same as the PS2 version? If anything it would be the same build as the PS3 and 360.

You'd think so, huh? Well Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk were both the PS2/Wii version slapped onto the PC. I wish I was making this up. :shakehead:

^ Oh god that is atrocious! That is the main motive behind me never buying any games that are based off of movies (or at least released before/with the movie) as they are always rushed and basically slapped together.

Back to the topic though, I'm not sure, but I hope that the game is well made and that it will be ported to the PC as best as possible, not like the Iron Man game.

Yeah, luckily I was able to get my money back for that one. I just about lost my mind when I installed it and THAT was it! I think the only graphics option was resolution.

Very rarely can I understand what you're even trying to say. :shakehead:

And since Wolverine debuted in 1974, a LOT of people who grew up with comics are older now.

Go buy Chronicles of Riddick it is a good movie game.

I may actually go and pick it up, there was an article about it in the magazine as well and I was actually pleasantly surprised in terms of gameplay and graphics.

Well, I went ahead and got it. After looking around some more, I noticed that the PS2 version is rated T and the 360, PS3, and PC versions are all rated M. It's an Unreal Engine 3 game, and looks pretty damn good. I've seen a few clipping issues, things sticking through walls and people walking 6 inches off of the ground, but nothing game breaking. I had one CTD after a cutscene, it didn't happen again when I loaded the game back up to the same point. So it might have been just a codec blip or something.

So far I've only played for a couple of hours, and unlocked one costume. It's easy to see why they haven't put anyone in one of those costumes in recent years in live-action movies...
But it's awesome, mindless fun. You act and react instinctively to enemies, and can use feral senses to find out where you're supposed to go. There is a "Bruce Banner" part in the game where you turn all squishy, though. With no feral senses or healing factor, you have to change up your tactics a little bit.

All in all, so far it's a very enjoyable and entertaining game.

EDIT: It's also only $39.99 on PC, instead of $59.99 on the consoles...
