my cod2 single player doesnt work

i installed this a bit ago after installing cod5 and cod4, the multiplayer starts up fine but the single player it goes to a black screen and doesnt go anywhere after that. anybody know what the deal is?

oh nevermind i just needed to install the latest patch for the game (1.3)
