    Does any one know what happened to the BGF website?? and I was wondering what the newest version was.

          Yes, BGF ceased development. The BF1942 mod Battlegroup:42 uses alot of their content.

              The BF1942 mod is still continuing development and is recovering more and more content from BGF into its build in case you are interested.
