EA is just a to slow in doing things that need to be done... I understand BF2 is quite a bit more popular than BF2142 like at the moment 5,534 people are ONLINE on a server and playing. Whilst with BF2142 there are only 2,257 ONLINE yet when I checked earlier today there were around ~3500 ONLINE.
Now back to the top. EA must know tha BF2142 is dying. So what do they do about it? They start making a patch for a game that is not on live support and leave BF2142 to drag behind. Hopefully though when 1.51 patch comes out for BF2142 there will be a boost in players. I guess we'll be waiting a while. Maybe in the next decade they'll come out with patch 1.51...Comment

It's the same thing they did with the patch that had Highway Tampa, I can't remember the number and I'm too lazy to look it up. They gave it to BF2 and then later got around to working on it for BF2142. No reason this should be any different I guess.Comment

DICE is in charge, not EA. EA just stamps their name on game, they don't develop them. I doubt they are really going to fix anything with the new patch. It sounds like it's just going to be a new map and a anti-cheat reinforcement.Comment

You know, it could have been worse.
It could have been Frontlines: Fuel of War, dead within weeks.
BTW, if I recall correctly, the publisher has the final say on whether a patch comes out or not. The same thing roughly happened on Outrun 2 by Sumo Digital. Players wanted a patch to fix a handful of bugs, and a Sumo Digital dev posted right back: "Our hands are tied unless Sega explicitly calls us up and asks for a patch. We can't do anything whatsoever unless the publisher requests it." The same thing happens at my workplace on a smaller level too. There are bugs I am aware of, obvious and annoying bugs, I wish I could fix them, but two things stop me: first, I just don't have the time to. Second, the company itself finds at the moment that fixing the bug will cost too much money and manpower for what it's worth, so it's called deal with it until too many customers go postal about it. We have more pressing matters to deal with, namely security and performance - behind the scenes stuff that the user will never see but which are crucial to the program's well-being.Comment

I don't play titan that often. When i was going for my titan commander ribbon, i saw that all the time. We had only 1 silo and the whole team would try and defend that silo, but the enemy would take it anyway. lol.Comment

This game was dead as soon as they made it so you could lock Titan movement on servers. With any luck 1.51 will revive some interest in this game.Comment
