    Help installing BF2 on Vista.

    I recently bought Battlefield 2 Complete Collection. I haven't played BF2 in years, but I wanted to do it again.

    I've searched the forum for my problem, and most solution links are now dead. Grrr.

    I've got the "Unable to find the install directory" error.

      Are you using a CD-ROM or DVD-ROM?

          Do you get this error when installing the game or installing the patch?
          Normally it means the Installdir in the registry is wrong.
          HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Battlefield 2
          HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Battlefield 2

          Or try the manual uninstall, then install: http://support.ea.com/cgi-bin/ea.cfg...p?p_faqid=8986
