There was a mod for BF2 called Point of Existence 2 that had European NATO countries vs the Rooskies. In any case, they had several unusual special forces weapons from both the Spetznaz and the modern German army special forces. I don't remember the guns off hand but they had some cool ones. Great series of maps as well.

Mg42, i just happen to love the sound it makes. I know it will never make it into a modern warfare game, but I want it none the less.

Hmmm...ArmA was only good for graphics and the guns. Gameplay was okay and realistic but the animations ruined some good things. I can't wait for OpF2 and ArmA II.

Ontopic, I would like to see more accesories.

For the "West" side, I'm thinking, ACOGs, other 2-4x scopes, EoTechs, CompM2s, etc...

I would also like the proper grenade launcher on each rifle. Actually is an M203 possible on an M14?

Hell, even BF2 had a selector/ROF switch (by pressing "3", I think). I did miss that feature in COD4, esp on the M16...I found the 3-round burst ate through ammo way too quickly.

If we want to look at past games, Delta Force: Landwarrior had multiple selectable fire modes and it came out in late 2000. I don't know about the first two Delta Force games.

Would it really create a handicap? Im sure they can make a switch that increases kickback with an M16 on full auto.
