PS3, is it worth the buy?

I have all the next gen consoles besides the ps3. A long time ago, I should have brought the ps3 instead of a regular blu-ray dvd player and now I regret it. There are some games like Little Big Planet and Metal Gear Solid 4 that I want to play. Is it any good? What are some of the pros and cons?

Pros:

• Blu-Ray (just sell your bluray player)
• Free Online Playstation Network
• Movie and TV Show Rental (purchase also available for movies)
• Bluetooth Controllers and headsets
• Most exclusive games are good (not all IE Haze, Resistance)
• Can play PS1 games (no new PS3's can play PS2 games)
• PSP Remote Play on you're TV.

I gotta agree with you on the pros.

And about the price tag, if you would buy Xbox, and then buy all the same equipment what PS3 already have built in(IE Blu-Ray player, Wireless adapter thingy(), bigger hard drive etc), the price would be around the same as the PS3 is...

* = I think that the Movie and TV Show rental is only working in the US atm

You should add to Pros: "Ability to turn itself into a mini-computation device that can run nice simulations with its large number of cores." :)

i got my 40GB PS3, with 2 controllers, MGS:4, GT:5 Prologue, GTA:5 and HDMI cable all for £250, BRAND NEW..
and an Xbox with all that stuff would cost more than £250.

the Xbox:360 adverts you see are so misleading, when they say it is really cheap for like less than £200, you get f*ck all with it.
and think about the way that you have to pay an extra £40 or whatever it is every year to update your internet 'contract'.

PS3 > Xbox:360, imo

My dad is being kinda, idk... he wants me to behave inorder to get the ps3 by the end of the school year... he's not doing crap to the bluray player i have until after the school year...

I know i'm getting it, just wanted to see what others think...

If i remember right, it's not released in EU yet, because many countries has different copyright laws. And that causes problems...

Why can't EU just be one big a$$ country, instead of lots of little ones?? :p
