Quemical how much money would someone have to spend these days if they wanted a super-duper gaming rig? (Lets say they already had the display, the keyboard, the mouse, and a 10,000 rpm hard drive. ...And lets say even that they had one NVIDIA 9800GT and they wanted to add two more to have triple SLI.)
:questionmark:
I really couldn't say, i've been out of the loop on how much it would take to build a good rig. I built my first rig in 2005 for $1,700, but it was when prices for everything were ridiculous. 2Gigs of Ram costs $200 back then, now you can get 2 Gigs for like $40. You get a lot of power for real cheap these days, so i only know you are not going to spend more than $1,300 for a super rig. That's if you are not planning to water cool.
And since everyone is showing off their Desktops, here is mine. I take pride in keeping everything organized on my HD and Desktop.
And if you wonder what it is hanging on the wall it's some sort of string instrument but I'm not sure exactly what it is

I dunno, that band (hed)P.E. is heavily into conspiracy theories, new world order and extra terrestrial life type of stuff. I liked the wallpaper and didn't pay much attention to the symbols and stuff. I thought it was all gibberish.
And it's cool to turn your computer and stare at the pretty lights while the game loads. But the only problem is when you have to pop in a disc constantly, the reach gets a bit annoying after a while.

Most of my games are from direct2drive and ea link lol. The nearest gamestop around me is like 30 minutes away, living in the country ftl.

Anyone with an expensive gaming rig who plays for less than 5 hours a day should have it confiscated and given to a true hardcore gamer.
