Downloading .85

So I've downloaded both the core and the levels, but when I click on the PR icon and open it, it just starts doing normal .8, not the updated .85.
Is there something else I need to do with the files I downloaded? As I remember from downloading the last patch, I thought you could just download them and then you're set to play. Please, someone help me!

P.S. When I finished downloading them, a window popped up asking me if I wanted to "open" them. Is that the problem; do I need to open them in a special way in order to activate the game? If so, which application do I open them with?

Delete the folders of your old pr in program files/ea games/bf2/mods and then you actually have to install the new one with the files you downloaded.

After I delete the old pr, how do "install the new one with the files" I downloaded? Does that mean just redownload them? Or after I delete the old pr will it just be .85 instead?

completly uninstall your PR. then reinstall

Double click on the files you downloaded, and follow the steps to install.
