Yes, but sadly Gib is the most popular infantry map. I think there are others that are far better, but they just don't populate and stay populated. I'm hoping that whenever the new patch/map comes out, that people will at least give it a chance before just running back to Gib.

I'm honestly surprised that Tampa is as popular as it is, although perhaps it's just that one server. Maybe they're heading the right direction with BF1943 and releasing only three maps, since most people seldom play more than one or two anyway. I still wonder why all these people that play infantry maps all the time chose the Battlefield games to play. It's always seemed counterintuitive to me, since there are other games that do infantry and only infantry.

C'mon vehicle whores! Unite! We need a good 24/7 64 man vehicle conquest server that rotates all the vehicle maps (except Minsk...whoever designed Minsk 64 must be the same person that designed Reclaiming Hue)! Fight for the spirit of BF! As much as I love Tampa, it's not really anything special that other vehicle maps don't offer, so if a 24/7 Tampa server can have decent population, surely there's a liklihood of a 24/7 64 man vehicle conquest server surviving.

Suez / Shuhia / Sidi / Tampa / Verdun. I actually wouldn't mind not having Sidi in the lineup, with only one gunship on the map, it can get terribly unbalanced if you have a good pilot/gunner combination. Two of my favorite vehicle maps are Shuhia and Verdun.

lol Give me Gib, and you have given me enough... good gib servers are becoming more rare, with ping in the factor, since getting banned on them for "hacking" is becoming more frequent, but yeah, im a gib/conquest whore, and i despise tampa

As for Sidi, while there's only one gunship per map, it's also at a cappable base (or am I thinking of Titan here?), and since there are AA stations at most of the flags as well as a couple walker spawns, the gunship usually won't have a lot of success if the other team is at least trying to take it down.

I'd love it if such a server existed, though. Most of the servers are either 24/7 servers (usually city maps), or the ones that mix maps will usually go Titan when it moves on to the big maps. Big vehicle conquest servers are so rare to find these days.

Guess we'll have to live with being a minority, eh Skates? :p

i was sitting in a tank on Wake today and spawn raping EU really hard at one of those flags the commander kept dropping boxes on me and i just sat there in the snow really far away and plugged people over and over again it was funny

i got my old soldier back and was really enjoying that ids radar with the LMgs, Ganz and Clark

What's really funny is that there are a couple of places where you can shoot the tank rounds right into the hanger of the titan and kill the guys in the AA guns. Either that or as a gunner send a TV missile into the hanger and kill hte gunners.

welll Tampa is totalllly addictive...great map.......the Assault map is awesome but since i've been banned from the ONLY 2 servers that run them on a regular basis....it's back to the TITAN maps for me.I think the reason i was banned for the most part from both servers wasnt the fact that I was breaking the rules......mostly cuz some regulars got tired of me always knockin em off.Those are the guys I was talking about in my first post....the whiners....the crybabies......the good ADMINS who knew me in there never had a problem with me....and most were great....but it just takes a few losers who get thier cans kicked too many times and t hen they come hunting for ya...I could be alone....far away from the beaten path.....hunting for gunships and suddenly....the moron commander is Orb striking my location...LOL.......I never bitched about it...in fact...i was honored the little puke was wasting his teams assets on little old me.Meanwhile my team is kicking major azzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. like I said...what comes around...goes around

It sounded a while back as though he thought it had been, or at least that he wouldn't practically be able to play with it any more ...and then I told him that having been spoofed, that won't stop him connecting to PBBans streaming servers as he had feared.

I hope he'll say "thanks for the tip Forces!" at some point...

Actually what happened was he got tired of his main soldier and deleted it in-game and it had disappeared from the leaderboards, so I guess it was never truly 'gone' after all. I don't believe Field was ever hacked.
