Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Hey guys, was just wondering if i will be able to have all high settings on a Nvidia geforce 9500 GT 1gb?
Thanks
And would i be able to run CoD 4 and BF2142 aswell? On medium settings?
Well i don't think the 9500GT is a very good card personally.
It might be a 9 series card but its the second number in 9500 that is the important number, and the second number in this case is a 5, meaning its not that good for playing games, i don't buy any card with a second number lower than a 6 to be playing games with.
A nvidia 8800 will have alot more power than the 9500GT because the second number is a 8 meaning its a very good card for gaming, just i think they are getting pretty hard to find now.
You could get a nvidia 9800 card as this also is very good for gaming, and if money is a bit of a problem look at some of ATI's cards because they teand to be cheaper than nvidia at the min, but very good quality.
1gb on a weak card like that is useless for gaming. It's just a marketing gimmick. Best way to learn about those things is to read articles and hang around computer forums or our very own Tech Center.
I think the best value for you might be an ATI HD 4670 or 4830, or a Nvidia 9800GT. (1gb is only necessary if you're playing at a higher resolution, like above 1920x1200 and above)
If I remember correctly the 9500GT = 8600GT. If that's the case then yes, you will be able to max BF2 and BF2142 at sub 1280x1024 resolutions. You will also be able to play CoD4 at sub 1280x1024 resolutions with the graphical settings on medium to high.
Never thought about the 9600GSO... good choice there.
The XFX HD4650 you pointed out has a 128-bit bus and GDDR2... That's awful specs for a gaming video card, and would have a lot of trouble running BF2 on high.
The 9800GT is 50 dollars more than the card he was asking about so I never would even think of it.

You can play BF2 at 1920x1200 as well... Just right click on the shortcut on your desktop and add this to the end of the target line:
+szx 1920 +szy 1200
It will show up ingame as 1024x768 however so long as you don't touch the resolution, you can be assured it is really at 1920x1200. You can set all the other graphics settings however you see fit.
Not even the GDDR3 version? I have the 512mb DD2 as well, stock clocks. Perhaps your perception of smooth is different than mine, I tried maxing 2142 out 1280x1024 no AA and it started getting choppy whenever there were explosions or smoke. It's just not playable for me, I had to reduce effects to low and all other settings besides textures to medium to be able to play at 1280x1024.
