why is my resolution in game only go to 1024x768? i have a monitor that goes to 1440x900, and a nivida 9800gtx+

You can force the resolution.

Right click on the game shortcut, the goto properties.

Find the game "Target" path. Add this to the end of it:
+szx 1440 +szy 900

It's better to add ' +widescreen 1 ', then you should be able to choose the right resolution ingame.

Agreed, I did that and I play with a res of 1680x1050

I finally purchased a new PC and must say running everything on high at 1920x1080 this game looks georgeous. I used to have to run the standard 1024x768 with medium and low settings, what a difference. I still suck but at least the scenery is better

I forced the resolution to 1440x900
but I left it at fullscreen
can someone show me some screenshot showing the difference between fullscreen and widescreen on 1440x900
