3 months delay on a patch.......one year delay on a free to play game.......are they sure they aren't outsourcing to DeVry?

Lol i love the EA Battleifled 2 forum section, i know it is kinda expected but jeez at the amount of Battlefield 3, hackers/cheaters/bugs and BF1943/BF:BC threads is unbelievable.

Also forgot to mention, i think that is old news for TGN as it certainly not me. But thanks for the head up.

It's even more pathetic when you realize that EA/Dice employ and pay 'professionals' who are supposed to be efficient in their field. You could get a 14 year old script-kiddie to do up a half-assed installer that will work properly, and it won't take him/her 3 months to do it either.

Seems like nothing but inefficiencies time and time again. I'd be so brutally embarrassed if I was a manager at EA/Dice, that I would actually want nothing to do with the negative reputation that they've earned from their terrible time lines and their even more horrific customer service.

Either EA/Dice are very very poor programmers with very little knowledge, or they're just blatantly lying with each 'news release'.

It's too bad Dice had to get caught up in this, all of this ******** nonsense is a staple of EA.

its not EA's fault, its Dice's. Dice is too damn lazy to do anything. Other EA developers don't have this kind of issues, at least not to the extent of Dice's.

Well i think that EA are pushing DICE to put all there efforts into pushing out small titles that are quick and easy to produce and then sell them for a quick buck, rinse and repeat.
Mainly so that EA can recover some of their lost money, $641 million of it.

And the promise of a patch for bf2 just stirs the publicity.

I cant really see a patch coming out at all.

Would be great if DICE went independent.

We have an installer for the 21CW mod that works amazing, it updates maps and mod versions automatically. We have an update nearly every day or two and I have never had a problem. Supposedly from what I heard it took the guy only a day or two to write up.

If EA/Dice are having a month time to make a stupid installer, they obviously all need to be fired.

I bet EA/Dice are just sitting down and saying 'alright boys... what kind of ideas do we have for the patch?'

They dont seem to be doing anything right now. They started with heroes, gave up, announced a new battlefield title, started patch 1.5, announced two more battlefield titles, went on vacation and never came back.

I emailed them regarding my account being spoofed and reset to zero (had ~160 000 points) and I got a lovely reply. It consisted of a survey asking me if the solution was helpful or not, but I couldn't answer the survey because there was no solution.

Do i have any respect/high expectations of Dice/EA? No. But bf2 is still a damn good game and I am still playing it to this day.

I know, makes you wonder, did they loose the code or something? Did the backup tape that had that get erased? Because, why can't they use previous code for previous patches? Unless they are aware of an exploit in the install script process...

or...may I dream...they have to make an uber-special install script because they are going to allow the merging of all their products? hahahahaha...oh, I make myself laugh.
