Editing Usersettings.con

Hi guys, im trying to change my usersettings.con file to get better hit detection. I have looked up many guides on it, but they dont have what i need.

I know what i want the values to be, but i just need help in actually changing them. I opened the file in notepad, changed the values, tried to save it but it didnt work.

What am i doing wrong? Any help is much appreciated, thanks

Can you elaborate on what you mean by "better hit detection"

What exactly do you hope to accomplish by editing this file?
