First things first. Does anyone else think that EA/Dice have lost their minds?! This is just absolutely ridiculous!

Why, when the majority of the community push for a modern set combat FPS, the go back to WW2. I just don't get it. OK, maybe BF1942 + expansions were a big success, but things have changed!

I think they've pulled a CoD series.... And are trying to copy them. Also, if you look at something like XBL, or any server sites for the PC games, you'll find that more people still play CoD4 than CoDWaW... So I really don't think it's worth it.

Again, the community has been pushing for BF3 for how long now? They say they've been listening to the community... Hard to believe, right?

This is just my opinion, but I'd like to hear everyone elses too.

Xfire user stats:
World of Warcraft at no.1 with 411238 hours played so far this week
Call of Duty 4 no.2 with 236311 hours played this week
and then below Battlefield 2 and Counter Strike Source, at no.6 is WaW.

This proves the point people don't want to go back to World War 2 games. Although CoD2 is ranked no.3, most of my friends only play that because they can't run cod4 yet (noobs). 1942 isn't even on that list anymore I don't think, even though people are saying they still play it. I think this could be a big failure tbh. The only way they can turn this around is by making a completely PC orientated game, not some console spray fest.

If this game is going to fail, I seriously doubt it will be because of the WW2 theme. Of all the people I've seen that show displeasure for the game, it's due to there only being 3 maps, 3 kits, and 24 max players. Take those same limitations and make them on Gulf of Oman, Kubra Dam, and Zatar Wetlands with all BF2-style vehicles and weapons and the same people complaining now would be complaining then as well.
