    PB Problems.

As of yesterday, Thursday 12th Feb. I have been getting problems with PB kicking me. Now nothing has changed on my system, I have installed nothing new and I have changed none of my game configs.
I cannot actually remember the PB kick messages that I got when I was kicked but I shall make a note of them next time and post if I am still having problems.
It will not let me run the PBsetup tool manually either. It returns the following error :

Error #0111: ERROR: Could not convert C:\Users\****\AppData\Local\Temp\pbsAF80.tmp to C:\Program Files\Activision\Call Of Duty - Modern Warfare\pb\dll\wc002175.dll
Now I have Googled all of this and even parts of this message but to no avail. It started by kicking me initially on CoD5 WaW, also yesterday, but now it seems to have spread to my CoD4 MW.

I must point out that it doesn't kick me constantly but if I manage to stay in the server, I keep getting spikes, I presume this is while PB is doing it's stuff and trying to update itself.

    Any ideas anyone?

    :salute:

Empty that temp folder. It seems like you have a corrupt file in it.

Try manually updating PB too, by going to the punkbuster site and finding the CoD4/WaW files that you need (for client) and saving them in the correct location (pb/htm for .htm and pb/ for the other two)

If that fails, then download pbsetup.exe and run it for both games... then load up CoD4 and type in console: /pb_ver - this should 'trigger' pb to 'do stuff' incase it doesn't load up correctly... though it usually always loads up anyway, but I just do it as a safeguard...

Cheers for the info guys, been online with WaW today and it seems OK now, will try MW later. I am hoping thats the end of it now tbh.

          Thanks again.
