so about the upcoming 1.51 patch

howcome there's no mention of the patch and what it's going to address yet? seems like BF2 patch has at least been given some info as to what it'll address but for 2142 all we know is they want to patch up the ID spoof vulnerability.

other than security issues, what else are they going to fix? server stability? EU transport bug? i hope so but i guess i won't hold my breath.

I heard they could not fix the transport bug because of some disclosed reason, and told the Sir.'s to keep it a secret. I would just love to know what could possibly be that little reason. >_>

AFAIK it's a minor release hence the .01 bit. Some fixes for server exploits etc is pretty much it. As for the transport gun glitch - If I remember, A DICE said the DTNETER fix broke something else. Dunno what. It must be something awkward else they would fix it. I don't think any of us believe that they are being purposefully obtuse.

That said, a new map is always welcome. :)

I just wish they would commit to when it's gonna happen.
