I actually like what this game features and what it is about. Before you flame, know that I never played the great battlefield 2 on the PC. My Pc sucks really bad. I have played battlefield 1942 thou. Im a console gamer, a PS3 owner to be exact. Im really looking forward to 1943. For one, Dog fights in mid air may not be new to most of you, but to me it is new! It looks wonderful! I also enjoyed bad company for the PS3 and modern combat that came out for the PS2. The game sounds down right fun and looks it too! I do admit thou that it was mostly catered towards console gamers like me. But I believe a pc only battlefield game is in the works.

Re: Dont flame but....
You're not going to get flamed for liking the game. Anyone who flames you for wanting to play this is ignorant. Those truly deservant of the flames are the ones at EA/DICE for making us excited about 2009 being the year for the PC gamer and then having this dropped on us instead. Now, I will be the first to reneg my comments should a true BF3 be announced, but for right now it looks like we have just been sold a bill of goods, and that's why the PC community is a bit irritated. The game in and of itself is probably fine, but for all we know this is the BF title that DICE was expecting us to wait for.
I hope I'm wrong. Believe me, I hope I'm wrong. -
Re: Dont flame but....
Yeah I know what you mean. I know that bad company 2 is coming to the PC but thats it. Id be pretty irritated to thou if a series that I loved and played soo much became in essence watered down because it was multiplatform as well. I do think you Pc guys deserve a BF3, And I hope you get it!Comment

Re: Dont flame but....
Definatly. I mean for me, flying a plane is new! Even thou I played 1942 I never flew a plane. But I want to in 1943. And the price tag is attractive. I love wake island on 1942. haha I feel like such a noob, 24 players is alot to me, and you guys are use to 64 and more. I can only imagine what intense fights you guys been in with 64 players.Comment

Re: Dont flame but....
Sadly there's a thought way back there that this is BF3.. I mean was 1942 actually BF 1? In any event I'll probably plunk down some money for it, I just hope it doesn't cost 59.99 for PC. I'm sure it will for the ps3 and 360 though. You're not going to get flamed for liking the game. Anyone who flames you for wanting to play this is ignorant. Re: Dont flame but....
perhaps the 2 counts for 2000? Or 20th century.
However yeah BF1943 is going to be awesome. 1942 > BF2 When both peaked at their time. Brilliant to have a remake.
Evil_paladin you probily missed out a lot by not playing BF2. If the hitboxes were fixed, it would still be a magnificent game if released in 2008. Cannot wait for this game to arrive. But trusting release dates, it'll probily be released late july lol.
Just a thought, isn't BF2 a multi platform game? With BF2 modern warefare released on consoles. But then again, you all have ignorently made up your mind about BF1943 and discredit this view when you know its true.Comment

Re: Dont flame but....
Let's see...BF1942 - five armies, three theatres, five kits, 16 maps. BF1943 - two armies, one theatre, three kits, three maps. Yep, definitely qualifies as a 'remake'.
The difference being that BF2 and MC were released five months apart, with BF2 being the first of the two. MC was more of a port of BF2, whereas even according to the game designers, BF1943 was made with the console gamers in mind, thus why the release will be around the same time on all platforms.Originally posted by DontKnockIt225Just a thought, isn't BF2 a multi platform game? Re: Dont flame but....
You honestly believe that this will be the end of BF1943. That once this is released, it will be abandoned? Do you have any evidence for this? If not then your argument is invalid.Originally posted by WolfAlmightyLet's see...BF1942 - five armies, three theatres, five kits, 16 maps. BF1943 - two armies, one theatre, three kits, three maps. Please give me a source that states that game designers said that BF1943 was made specifically for consoles. If not, again your point remains invalid.Originally posted by WolfAlmightyThe difference being that BF2 and MC were released five months apart, with BF2 being the first of the two. Re: Dont flame but....
Do you honestly believe they're going to increase the amount of kits, armies, weapons, maps, and player slots? Do you have any evidence of this? If not, then your argument is invalid. See? Speculation and extrapolation are equal-opportunity weapons.
It's in one of the interviews posted here, although I don't recall which one. As well, never did I say it was made specifically for consoles, that was you twisting my words. I said they were made 'with consoles in mind', meaning it's geared for the console crowd. Again, check the interviews posted here.Originally posted by DontKnockIt225Please give me a source that states that game designers said that BF1943 was made specifically for consoles.
