Laggy menus, etc.

Hey everyone.

I've had Battlefield 2 since it came out back in 2005 and love the gameplay... but the frustrating-ly laggy menus and clunky/outdated interface have kept me away. Last year I built a brand new computer that can handle any game I throw at it with ease, but BF2 still frustrates me to hell.

Is there a way to fix the lag in the menus? And have they released any update that allows higher resolutions without having to edit anything?

Something is wrong with your system if you are experiencing lag, I have never experienced lag with BF2, even when my main machine was an oldschool Single Processor P4 3.0Ghz, Windows XP Pro, 2GBs RAM and ATI Power Color X850 Pro.

Have you defraged your hard drives lately, deleted your bf2 cache files, upgrade your cd rom firmware?

Thanks for replying. I figured out the problem... something was wrong with my Punkbuster. (I think...)
