Ever since installing the COD-WAW 1.2 patch I have lost all sound ingame is there any reason I'm having this problem, I have tried all sound settings and still nothing coming through ...

Trying to install in the patch, and it gives me an error message saying COD WaW couldn't be found at the path specified. However, C:Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty-World at War\ seems to be the only real location it would be... I'm running Vista 32 bit. Any help?

Loosing sound is ridiculous, i can't believe they canned support for 24bit sound!

Hmm, try installing CoD:WaW again - except backup the files first, and don't reinstall, just see if there is a repair option? via Windows > Control Panel > Add/Remove...

As it seems you might have a registry problem? The patch you try to install can't locate the reg key which tells it where CoD WaW is installed to so it thinks you don't have it installed...

Hm... I'll back up my profile (well, not that important if it gets reset since my internet has turned into a tar pit of FAIL) and try to find a repair button. If all else fails, I'll just reinstall WaW and try again.

Try some google searches as well. I don't recall a specific fix off the top of my head, but COD2 & COD4 also had the "can't find" issue, as well as other games. It might have to do with how your PC is configured or what drive you installed the game to, or conflicting apps, etc. You may stumble across the answer there with a bit of research and a little luck.

Has WaW ever been installed somewhere besides where it is now? I know that sounds weird, but I've had games leave orphaned registry entries that prevented patches and uninstallation. Running CCleaner helped for at least one game. Manually deleting every registry entry helped when that didn't.
