Special Forces Key code invalid

I finally got around to installing Vista x64 OS. Now I have a problem. If a try to join a SF server it says key code invalid. I purchased SF from EA online so I don't have a key code. I tried a fix concerning the registry but didn't work. Vanilla BF2 plays fine the issue is with the SF key code. Hopefully someone has a fix that works?

Things I tried that didn't work:
1. Re-download SF from EADM
2. Manual uninstall of both BF2 and SF.
3. Clean install with BF2 first, then SF, then patch 1.4.
4. The x9293 registry fix and repatch.

What I discovered thru extensive googling: The 1.4 patch screws with the key code encryption in SF.

Solution:

The solution was in the SupportXP1 file in Battlefield2 directory. By running Battlefield 2 Special Forces_code app, the key code was reinstalled to the proper location.

I'm sure this problem is old news so I'm glad this information was still around. :yay:
