Re: Are alot of you guys crashing to desktop as well?
Well i finally fixed my issues with it crashing me to the desktop every 5mins. I deleted every pb html file in the C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\pb\htm folder. Also, delete the PnkBstrB and PnkBstrK files here: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\pb.
After deleting them I updated pb with the pbsetup tool. You should only have 9 html files in that folder and new B and K files. I am now able to join servers without getting kicked now. Hope this helps others.
Re: Are alot of you guys crashing to desktop as well?
almost 30 - 50 of our clan has had the CTD or similar issues (content mods // memory errors // etc) these past weeks - best solution has been PB manual update
Re: Are alot of you guys crashing to desktop as well?
I read somewhere on forums that server owners need to update md5 checks or something like that. It will solve CDT and PB client authentication errors. I know servers that had problems before run fine now. Some servers still have this problem.

I started having modified content errors connecting to any server for no reason. had to do a full manual uninstall / reinstall.
One of the reasons for unmodified content is because you load faster than the server itself. I solved this by limiting the amount of RAM in my system putting /maxmem=2048 switch in boot.ini
