    Shooting/Practice Range mods?

Hello, I've just begun playing BF 2 and am having a hard time telling when I'm hitting and not. I think it's because I'm having a hard time in getting a feel for how the weapons handle. Are there any mods made of a shooting range?
GRAW 2 has one that helped me a lot in acquiring greater proficiency with the rifles.
    Thanks.

I recommend that you play some singleplayer (aka "SP") rounds against bots on your computer until you feel more comfortable with the weapons. If you join a squad and let a bot be the squad leader, you can focus on following the squad around and engaging targets.

Play as Medic and hold back a little to let the rest of the squad move in first. This will allow you to fire at the targets they call out and rush in to heal and revive after the engagement. Rinse and repeat until you're satisified.

    Hooah.

It wasn't long ago I was asking a very similar question. It would be good if the sandbox mod had dummy men you could set up and take fire at.

It would be very cool to have some "gunnery range" maps and to have a real firing line with pop-up and traversing targets... but that's got to have a lot of coding involved. Vanilla BF2 has the "cone of fire" which helps nubs get lead on target but would mess with any kind of range shooting. Some mods have put more accurate methods into place and they would be fun for target shooting -- AIX and Wookie Sniper mods come to mind.

Alternatively go into an empty server and pick spots and targets and practice shooting them in single shot and auto-fire. A good target is the red light on top of your UAV in teh base. Its easy to see when you have hit it or not.

The range, or shooting mod is a great idea for single player, but unless you can find someone that can make a mod, with rabbits running and jumping all over the place, that you have to shoot, and throw ping spikes in it, it would almost be senseless to learn on for online play, their is just too much to add into an online ranked game, that the single player cannot do for you, I noticed that the guy/gal, who posted this in in 21CW, that is where I got good, they will teach you alot of good stuff about the game, and their basic training, when I was in, did have some accuracy drills, and proficiency things with it,

But the best way to practice at this and to better hone your skills, is to get in a ranked match, and find the method that works for you, try not aiming down your iron sights, it works well for me, I just put the cross hair on the target, and go at it, also if you change your cross hair color, to something that their is not alot of in game, like (RED) you can see the diagonal cross hairs, that act as your hit indicator..

Good Luck in your venture, at getting your shooting skills down..
