Switching sound files?

Hi there,

I did not find anything with the search, so starting a new thread.

Is it possible to change the languages of the sound files or will it be stated as cheating?

I already tried to exchange Russian against German, but BF2142 did not start a game round afterwards. I do not want to play the "all sides use one language" from the settings page, as you do not know weather a friend or a foe is speaking in the vicinity. But have difficulties in understanding the russian audio files - ok managed to understand some, but I have to concentrate on it an that is, in battle situation, very complicated.

So is there a legal way?

it is not possible as it will detect modded game files.

There comes up a little text underneath the kill messages with basically everything people are saying on your team with the commo rose. Example, I have a guy right next to me and he spots a walker, he says something like "Shiesh Robot" I think (don't know the exact wordings as I don't know russian) and there comes up a little text saying: "Enemy walker spotted".

Of course it will be hard to know who said what but you can usually time it pretty well. What teammates says show up in blue, squadmates in green and commander in yellow I think. If an enemy says something through chat it will show up in red.

Just like you learned your first language, you will begin to understand what the different phrases mean after a while when they are used in context.
