    Wont start

I just upgraded from an ATI X1950XT to an ASUS HD4850 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814121272 and I downloaded the drivers from ASUS because apparently because this comes overclocked from ASUS that the standard ATI drivers wouldn't take advantage of the OC, but anyway now when I try to start BF2 it immediately crashes to my desktop. No splash screen, no EA logo, no nothing. It plays just fine in GTA IV and COD4 but not BF2. Any suggestions?

    btw here are my specs

    Q6600
    4 gigs ram
    HD4850
    Gigabyte GA-P35-S3G motherboard
Windows Experience Index is 5.9 ( whatever the hell that means)

That card should run bf2 maxed out without OC so why don't you try the regular ati drivers?

I tried uninstalling the asus drivers and went with the current ATI ones, still no luck.

ok then I guess you have windows vista? you should try the following things (i don't guarantee they work but you can try)

        -run bf2 as administrator
-run bf2 in windows xp compatibility
        -reinstall bf2, repatch

and also what res are you playing at?

If you changed your gfx card, then your resolution or refresh rate may have changed.
You can either edit all the video.con files with notepad, or delete the batlefield 2 folder in My Documents and retrieve your account.
