Tomeis, respectfully you are wrong but you are entitlted to your opinion. Fact is these servers manipulate the game in a way it was not intended in order to gain rewards that really don't mean anything other than a players reflection on his own gameplay. If you use these servers you are among the weakest group of players. It is like glitching in that the developers never intended for the game to be used in this fashion and it takes a moron admin to enforce this manipulation. Idc since I have reg group of servers to choose from, but it doesn't mean I can't take this op to state my opinion that these people are tards and should just man up and play. They are basically cheating for false rewards and that makes them sad sad gamers...:thumbsup:

Then they're ruining it for themselves. Let them have their padding servers and let them obsess about their awards.

I've been playing this game since it was released back in 2005, and it's the first time I encountered a time padding server, not a stat padding one. I created this thread to point it out and it seems there might be some confusion already :dead:

My point proven, then. I remember seeing them a long time ago, not just now. So that just goes to show that most of the time you don't even realise they exist.

Please don't think I'm defending padding/time servers, because I'm not. They're against the rules, and should be removed. All I'm saying is that it's not worth the effort to point them out.

Hold on, you said you began to play the game back in 2007. When I said "it's my first time I encountered", I mean in respect to from the year 2005 to 2008, not from 2007 to 2008. I like to think I was quite aware of what BF2 in general was like during its first years, especially when I was playing this game almost to my death (joke) such that I believe these servers didn't exist until recently.

Please don't think I'm defending padding/time servers, because I'm not. They're against the rules, and should be removed. All I'm saying is that it's not worth the effort to point them out.

i think the only euro forces and armored furry servers operating ARE time padding servers so id imagine a few well placed inquiries to the EA customer service could straiten it out.

....Whats the point anyway when you still get the time awards for just playing normally, it makes no difference if you sit still for 2 hours or play 2 hours worth of combat.

It's a lot easier jumping into a tank and going AFK than to actually, you know, fight with it. Maybe they go off to read a book or something, I dunno.

Whats even more funny is people paying money to run a ranked server just for padding.

they are sneaky now, I see padding servers now have "NO PADDING" in their server name to fool EA. <- srsly wtf lol.

And just during normal play, I come across so many people that must of padded their way to general. 3stars with kdr less than 1.0, 3stars who cant fly a helo at all. 3stars who haven't a clue as to whats going on around them.

That's what confusses me about stat padders, I can see why they want to rank up and get weapons but why do they want to get the badges and stuff? If they suck they suck, getting the badges wont make them better.

I agree with Bird that I had not seen these back when I too played the game to death. I just starting playing some again since it's gotten cold out and I had some time. I mistakenly joined one and lmao when I figured it out.

I recall one of these servers being from a clan called Furion and it sticks out cuz there has been a 3 star from that clan playing on moongamers, and he is far from a good player..

What's even more funny is these are the kind of people that yell hacker too when someone has what I call map awareness.. I have too many hours on Oman, but from that I know there are patterns and this knowledge allows me to rack up points. They scream hack cuz there is no way you could know they are in the bunker taking a flag when you spam it with mg fire from a plane. They scream your cheating cuz you see the flag go white and spam fire the flag from way out and get that lucky kill... It makes me giggle a little. It's the experience of playing that makes a player, well that and a good ping doesn't hurt either...lol
