    Any IL-2 Sturmovik players here?

Any jet & chopper fanatics here also play IL-2 Sturmovik? I ask because I'm trying to fly with mouse & keyboard in IL-2, like I fly heli in BF2, and I can't get it to work right. Of course I want to Pitch with Mouse Y-Axis and Roll with X-Axis; unfortunately, those axes are already configured as mouse look in IL-2, and no changes to the config files can override it. Anyone?

I realize this isn't really a post about BF2, but I hope you will leave it up for a little while before you move or delete it.....

I suggest this gets moved to general PC. I've got IL2 (Although I haven't played it for a bit, as it won't work with Vista 64 bit), and there is simply no way you can play it effectively using mouse and keyboard, as the flight dynamics are much more realistic; it's a simulation rather than something aimed at casual gamers. Try getting a decent joystick such as the Saitek X52, Saitek Cyborg Evo or Logitech Extreme 3d pro.

Bah... I'm getting withdrawal symptoms from reading this thread- it's such good fun to play.

Hopefully Oleg will get off his backside sometime and get round to releasing Storm of War Battle of Britain soon (As long as it's Vista compatible).

I have it and love it (along with my beloved LO:FC). So much fun to play online, and the ability to fly a ton of realistic planes which have (surprisingly) realistic damages is just amazing. I heard they are coming out with a newer version, so I'm looking forward to that.

And yeah, invest in a joystick, I recommend the Saitek X52, it's amazing and is still working well for me.

The new one is SoW: Battle of Britain. Talking of LOMAC, I have an issue wuth that, in that it doesn't seem to respond to me pressing fire on my joystick.
