Why do people persist to blast thier shot guns at a hunter who is on me. Thanks let me eat some of the shot gun shards as well at this point i think i rather have the hunter on me.

I can blast a hunter of people before it does any harm to them.

Yes, but the point was that you may end doing more damage than the hunter in the process.

A Hunter on someone is a stationary target, if you melee him off he is free to run away, and depending on the intensity of the action (and the lag) he may be difficult to hit.

You can't do damage to a person pinned by a hunter or smoker, the last time I checked.

How sure are you? So you mean I can pump lead into someone who is pinned by a hunter and it will only hit the hunter?

Yes, pinned people take no damage from friendly fire.

Exactly are you people new to the game? You can even shoot at a smoker through a survivor and he wont take any damage as well.

You just have to stop shooting as soon as the Hunter or Smoker dies. As soon as the survivor isn't pinned anymore, he takes damage.
