problems joining a server

i recently reinstalled BF 2 and the latest 1.41 patch however whenever i join a server it kicks me and says that i have an older version.... which is impossible considering i have the newest one. this happens with all servers i try to join

I guess your patch is corrupt, try downloading it from somewhere else.

doesnt work. i directly dl'ed from EAs site and almost all of the servers are red still and it tells me i have an older version

try uninstalling bf2, reinstall, repatch and tich 'same mod' box in the game server browser.
