    So after about 3 or 4 years of waiting i finally got a computer that could run BF2 so when i get it hooked up and install Bf2 i play SP for a bit then try to play online and while the match is loading i remeber hearing that BF2 had problems on Vista and as soon as i enter the match i get kicked out by Punk buster for inaduquet o/s privaliges is there anyway to get into a online match if you have vista? because xp cost 300 bucks and i dont have near that much money....

    right click bf2 and run as administrator. simple as that

      Right-click the BF2 icon and select 'Run as Administrator'.

              Probably that's the MSRP for XP Pro. If you do a google search for 'buy windows xp' one of the first hits is a place selling XP Pro (full) for $55 (+shipping). I think even MSRP for XP Home is only about $130 and you can get it for less than $100 .

                Actually Punkbuster was updated so you shouldn't need to run the game as Administrator anymore. I know I did at first but now it works fine without it.

                  You just need to install Punkbuster services as administrator, then it should run on any account type.

                    Better Idea is Control Panel>User Accounts> Turn User Account Control Off. Makes Vista life way easier.
