    on-board NIC vs PCI NIC

    would a separate NIC be better than my on-board NIC built into my motherboard? Your opinions please.

    It depends whether it has it's own software and bypasses Window's TCP/IP stack.

              I would love a KillerNIC, they are really good technology, it's just a shame they cost too much!

                          All because of Windows networking inefficiencies

                          Although, i suspect a QoS enabled router might be better :)

                            I'd like a Killer, not for the networking but because it can be used as a simple linux PC within your main PC for various different tasks.
