New install on vista, Fixed, But still not working

I installed vista four days ago and installed BF2142 today. See this thread.

1. Installed BF2142
2. Installed Graphics card drivers
3. Installed Patch 1.5
4. Ran .BAT file

cd "c:\program files\electronic arts\battlefield 2142\
attrib -s -h radial.cdb
del radial.cdb
cd C:\Users\User\Documents\Battlefield 2142
rd /s /q mods

5. Inserted the disk (To scratched to install, But good enough to start the game)
6. Ran .BAT file

CD "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142"
start /AFFINITY 2 BF2142.exe +menu 1 +fullscreen 1

Now it doesn't ask for the disk anymore. But right after it shows the splash screen it gives me...

I had this issue earlier today, and resolved it by installing the 1.5 full patch over the the whole lot.

FIXED

1. Uninstall BF2142
2. Reboot
3. Install BF2142
4. Reboot
5. Install Patch 1.50
6. Reboot
7. Play!

So do you get the ctd when clicking on a few medals in BFHQ?

I'll try that out now. I got a couple of metals and pins in game tho, No problems...

EDIT : Yes, But i don't want to do anything to my perfect installation of BF2142 =D

Looks like someone copied your install order, so I'll just mention that you can avoid the BFHQ medals crash by installing 1.40 before 1.50.
The crash only seems to affect some people though, possibly only those using a 64bit OS.

I think Natt is right about the 64 bit part. I didn't have that problem and I run vista 32bit.
