I'm Back to the battlefield :)

I have not played BF2142 for about a year now. This was mainly because my disk was scratched. have made i backup copy of the disk but that didn't play because of the anti-Piracy stuff. But now because of t he wonderful bug in vista i can play again without a disk in the drive

Right now I'm downloading the new ATI drivers (Still getting settled in with my new install of vista) and also BF2142 patch 1.50

So i will be playing this game a lot again.

BTW, When coming back here after ONE YEAR I would expect more from EA than one small patch to the game

There's a 1.51 patch with a new map coming soon, and most likely there will be something later in 2009 as well. For a game released 2006 that's not bad!

its not good either, as half the glitches have not been fixed...

Uggh, I still cant play the game. I deleted radial.cgf or whatever it was and did all the fixes i found on google but it still tells me to insert disk. Gonna try PBSetup now.

PBSetup didn't help ether... Should i remove my DVD drive form my computer?

try updating your drivers maybe, because i had that problem also where it kept telling to insert the disc while its already in the drive.

There is actually quite a bit coming from EA. There was the update with Highway Tampa not too long ago and then 1.5 which was a big update with two new maps. Wake Island is a decent map, and I love playing Shingle.

Now we've got 1.51 and another update in the next year and I don't know about other people, but I've experienced much less in terms of glitches and bugs compared back to January 2007.
