Modified content error (pr)

I have a friend who has had BF2 installed and patched forever, Now when we install Project Reality Mod, PR works out great, but when we attempt to PLAY Vanilla BF2 again, he gets the modified content error, this has been happening for a long time now, we thought we found a fix for the problem, and we did not, so he just unistalled PR, well he recently installed PR again, and gets the same error.

Can anyone give me a good fix, not I thinks, or Try This, I am pretty sure we have been through all those.. The repatching, the reinstalling, none of them are a permanent fix..

Hmm, when I have had this a full reinstall + going to the EA Games/BF2 directory (in program files) and getting rid of the whole folder.
