Hopefully, there are no further sniper awards, are there? As far as I can see, I wasted all those Recon unlocks because I can't snipe for the life of me. I would periodically try every now and then, but would almost always finish the round with no more than 3 headshots. The stabilizer usually runs out just as I am ready to pull the trigger, the Zeller takes forever to load another bullet and with only 3 shots a clip.....

I actually got the pin <finally> on Camp Gib when someone jumped down from a walkway on top of where I was lying prone on the ground. I had been shooting at him as he edged along (and missing), and then he got past my field of view, and jumped down with his knife out. I rolled on my back and took a wild shot with the Zeller almost straight up in the air as he came down. Total luck, but turns out it was a headshot! The effect in the game was actually pretty funny, his body stops in midair on the way down, and then goes right back up in the classic headshot backwards backarch.

Can finally give up on the sniper rifles and go back to the shotgun....

Don't rely on the stabilizer upgrade. It will only make you a worse sniper. There are better things to unlock, like camo, rdx, apms. Once you get used to sniping it is pretty easy. Take your time on your shots and you will achieve better accuracy. Once you are good enough with a sniper rifle you will be getting infiltrator pins without even trying for them...usually multiple in a round.

It's very satisfying getting a headshot without a zoom and stabilizer. I've done this on few occasions when I've run across a friendly sniper and saw him get sniped, so i picked up his kit and looked for the enemy sniper that took him out popped him with a headshot, pick up my assault kit and revive my teammate :)

if you're going for headshots, might as well ditch that zeller. i always use the stock rifles when i want headshots.

i was a pretty horrible sniper at one point, but i kept using it and got better. headshots and infiltrator pins are pretty addicting, i've realized.

The stock sniper rifle for PAC just seems like a BB gun to me. And the stock sniper rifle for EU, just seems like a toy gun.

The Zeller just gives me that powerful feeling when holding a sniper rifle. Except i wish they would do just a normal scope not freaken blue, green, or red. is it christmas when they made those scopes?

I hated sniping until I came back to the game for the... *counts on fingers* third or fourth time (which is right now).

It just takes practice and getting used to it. I think sniping in cod4 and tf2 helped me get more proficient. Sniping in TF2 is definitely the best way to start if you're a newbie. Its MUCH easier than in more "serious" games, and definitely preps you for those games too.

that's just your perception, but headshot is a headshot. i'd rather get more ammo with the stock rifles. and zeller is so loud you the enemy will often times find you.

Just remember to stand completely still when firing and don't move around too much. Try to aim at your target before scoping, pull it up to his head and fire. If you don't feel that confident, keep it at his head area and wait until you get a clean shot.

Try not to think about your accuracy. It's better to try to get a quick shot instead of wasting 10 seconds to get a "perfect" shot. If your crosshair is over the head, click

Moretti = epic win, use it for headshots
Zeller = average/fail, choose it when im PAC
Park = epic fail, its just ************************************

I can't believe that stuff is still up there. That was one of the first things that drew me to TBF2142 (pre-unified-TGN, of course) way back when I was a lurker (February of 2007?)

I can't even hit a moving target; I m horrible with precision when it comes to sniper. my style is the run around and shoot variety.

I know it sounds funny that the Zeller only has 3 bullets and is loud red ugly scope...but its just my personal opinion that i love the feel of the gun. yesterday i was on a run from Toll (on camp G.) and we were defending against PAC who had Harbour. and i ran on the east side of the map, and i was knocking down enemies so fast (headshots) i got like 5 in a row without missing so fast....its either just me or the zeller is better...Once again no flaming please...its just my opinion :)
