Re: Who still plays?
I know, but I'm just bored with the game and not motivated anymore, it's such soooo easy to rank up. -
Re: Who still plays?
I had a BSOD, scared the heck out of me b/c of other people's stories about it. I backup my stuff every time I play, but I had been playing for about 4 hours straight and had moved up 6 ranks when that happened lol. Luckily, everything was in okay when I started my pc backup.Leave a comment:

Re: Who still plays?
I have gotten numerous BSOD's, but it has mostly been after using some other type of program (eg. torrent download apps) then trying to play.
I started doing a fresh restart of my PC right before I play, and so far I haven't had another BSOD since then (*fingers crossed*). Anyone having issues with blue screens, give that a try, and see if it helps.Leave a comment:

Re: Who still plays?
I've never had a BSOD error either. I doubt that is something to do with the game really, more poorly made/installed drivers.Leave a comment:

Re: Who still plays?
Yeah the Co-op browser seems messed up it can work, but it's rare. the friends list though seems perfect. One of my friends had a issue joining co-op under XP, that luckily went away after a switch to vista.
We'll see a patch soon, that will hopefully fix that browser, but really co-op is best played with people you know anyways.Leave a comment:

Re: Who still plays?
I must admit im really surprised by the replies, i was expecting to see a mixed number of "i still play a lot" and "i havent really touched the game for a while now" but its good to see that since release the game is still live and kicking

i played COD4 religiously for like months and months when i got that but iv only been playing COD5 occasionally. Not even at rank 65 yet :/
I do quite like it but public servers are a pain in the arse for me, i hate martydom rifle nades etc. Now that promod development has been halted i may find myself only really playing zombies.Leave a comment:

My body is one entire, giant scab. thank you.
WaW is great, multiplayer is fun as all hell, i experience a freeze here and there, but nothing else, no BSD, no profile loss. COD4 is a great game too. Both different and fun in their own ways, same engine and all. I do think more work went into 4, but thats my own opinion.
The only turnoffs to me are the companies, and how they are handling things.Leave a comment:

Re: Who still plays?
At this moment, yes, the browser and/or information shown on it for co-op does have significant issues. Lots of games aren't even showing up, and because people are creating/exiting games so quickly, often the info showing up in the browser is "stale", so you could be trying to join a game that no longer exists. Instead of getting a proper message, sometimes it will just do nothing.Originally posted by Minmasterare a lot of people playing co-op? i was told it is pretty buggy and hard to join a game through the browser. is it true?
Treyarch has suggested that some of this is being caused by user-side router/firewall issues, but the problem seems larger than can be accounted for by that.
We've been told by Treyarch that they will be making changes to how the browser displays games, so hopefully that will help the situation and at least kill some of the bugs showing up. The next patch (v1.2) probably won't be out until at least early-mid January, so hopefully this fix will make it.
But lots of people are still playing co-op, especially zombie mode co-op. Most people are having more success joining games via the invite system. Players will organize a game through XFire or Ventrillo or something, one will create a game and use the in-game Friends list to invite the others. This generally works (although is not 100% for some) to get people to join the game.Leave a comment:
