I cannot connect to the account server (several friends having same problem tonight)...says 'The server refused the connection'...anybody have any idea whats going on? New pacth maybe? Frustrating as we were supposed to be playing in a match tonight :shakehead:

Account Servers are down. Scuttlebutt that we've heard in the mod community is that they won't be back up until tomorrow.
Some people are able to play and connect, therefore, it must be that just some of the servers are down and not all of them. -

All games with multiplayer by gamespy is down. Crysis Wars isn't working, neither does UT3 and etcComment

Seems EA's account servers are acting up again. I was trying to log in around 3:15AM EST and I got an error message that said something about being logged out by a duplicate login and after that I kept getting the error message "Connection closed by server"
Not sure exactly what heck is going on but I do know that the past few days it has been taking an exceptionally long time to log in and that can be quite annoying....

I saw a post from Alex98uk that said EA does maintenance on Tuesday night so that could possibly explain the error messages, however it wouldn't explain the excessive log in times I was experiencing a few days prior to that.
Fortunately everything returned to normal a few hours after I posted my previous reply so I am assuming whatever maintenance they did also resolved my slow account login times because I am able to log in much faster now.
