i just installed the 178.24 drivers and im getting tons of artifacts.

Check GPU temps, unstable overclocks and if those things are OK then change the driver back/update to a newer one.

roll back your driver mate, theres a definite issue with this driver and the battlefield games, especially 2142. i had issues with that driver and 2 other machines
