Left 4 Dead Demo?

Hey guys, I didn't try the demo when it 1st came out because I didnt meet the Min reqs for it. Now that the game is out I really want it bad so I wanted to try the demo.

But now I cannot find it on Steam or anywhere else.

Where is it?

yeah i thought that was pretty messed up how they took away the demo but in marketing terms it worked because people went out and bought the game.

yea well i wont because i need to play the demo to make sure my machine can handle it even though it doesnt meet the min CPU speed of 3.0 (i have 2.53)

I would guess you could probably play it perfectly fine at the lowest settings and a lower resolution.

Its not that demanding of a game, really.

I think its more demanding than other source games, but then again look at my rig...they all play the same for me maxed out

All other source games I can play on medium or medium and some high.

HDR works just fine on here.

I meet the min for all l4d specs except for the CPU speed and I know that it is really demanding on the cpu because of all of the entities (zombies)

the min cpu speed of 3.0 applies to single core cpus. many modern dual/quad core cpus don't reach 3.0 and my Q6600 is only 2.4 but it runs the game very well.

Yea I am running a single core 2.53

Yea while your is 2.4 its dual so its two 2.4 running at the same time so that is better then my single 2.53 running on its own.

get a new pc already! nehalem is out so pretty soon those are going to be very affordable!

No Demo!? I have a co-worker I'd like to hook up with the demo for a little bit. I hate to say it on the forum...I know it is against the rules...but is there a torrent for it? I do own the game already.
