    dx9

I installed bf2 today and went to start it up and i get the error "directx 9 or higher is required to run bf2."

so i reinstall dx9, restart and get the same error.

Where did you get the DX9? Might just need a newer refresh (MS re-releases DX9.0c every few months).

download it from microsoft. It should get installed automatically anyway when you install bf2.

                Make sure you get DX9.c

If you get an old version like 9.b it might not work. Worth a try. :)

If you still have this problem, post the output of DXDIAG at least through the 'display devices' section and the 'directx components' section.
