Bf2142 Physics Problems

Hello, after not playing for 5 months (because of these glitches) I want to play again. Here's the problem:

1. Whenever I jump and move to another direction it doesn't give me a smooth fall, the image jumps to the ground.

2. When I turn and look down my scope while turning, the image in my scope jumps all around, and does not steady where it should be.

This makes it impossible to play, if anyone has encountered this or fixed it, please reply. Thanks.

It could be a gfx driver problem, especially if you are using nvidias last few offerings.
You could also try deleting the Battlefield 2142 folder in My documents, you will need to log back in and setup audio, video, controls etc.

sounds more like high latency and packet loss to me, is this every time you scope in or just occasionally, also what is your ping like ?

Chris is right.
Doesn't seem like the typical gfx problem at all. More like a performance problem, etc.

i have the same with the scope sometimes. it is probebly my internet though. shared internet with 2 other people with just enough speed for bf. stupid advertising: they say you get 1 mb/s you get 128 kb/s laaaaaaaaaaame.

Maybe you're getting 1 megabit/s sempf? 1 megabit = 128 kilobyte

nah they wrote down megabyte, not megabit. i know 1 megabit is 128 kb:P. but we checked and we pay for 1 megabyte and get one megabit.

that is because they advertise megabits dt. 9mbps=1.128 megabyte/s in holland they even score often higher than they advertise, with me is just that we pay for 1 megabyte and get 1 megabit.

ahhh yet another thread derailed mmmmmmmm yummy goodness, as for op's points the scope thing is deffinitely a latency thing as the higher my ping the more erratic the scope is as i bring it up while turning, as for the jumping thing i have no idea sorry probbaly connceted to the scoping and thereforre most likely to do with intarneT problems

Try playing servers that are extremely close to you. (i.e., if you live in Texas, try texas team players).

Also, make sure nothing else is sucking up your bandwidth (other PC's, downloads, uploads, whatever)

yea i had similar problems when i had cheap 768k dsl and whenever my family surfs web and goes to sites like youtube my game would suffer that way. we upgraded to 3mb and now the problem is gone.
