We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.

Ahh it aint here! The postman strolled up to my door at 12:40pm, that took the biscuit anyways, then I find out he hasn't even got the game! Pfft Royal Mail sucks :).
Many people have posted (on other sites) how slow the game seems to be, something that worked for me;

If you have a decent system, you just installed the game and the game is running a little laggy then try this.
Right click the GTAIV Shortcut (not the Rockstar Games Social Club shortcut) - you can find the shortcut in the program files directory if you haven't got one on your desktop.
Select Properties
Select Compatibility
Check 'Disable Visual Themes' and 'Disable Desktop Composition'
Click Apply and start up the game.
I had an issue with fireworks some time ago and this seemed to work, tried it just now on the game and theres a noticable difference for me. Hope it works for you.
Now I don't know much about this Securom program or whatever it is.
But I guess it has something to do with how many times it can be installed?
If so, why not load it to an external hard drive. That way you can just plug and play into any computer?
I'm being serious here, because I'm in he process of looking for a decently priced external hard drive and was thinking about doing this.
Thoughts?
This method will not work since DRM knows all of your systems hardware IDs/Serials, etc. and knows when something has changed, in which you will normally have to reauthenticate.
DRM is not too much of a problem, if you run out of activations, you can normally call the publisher and have them authenticate you or clear the activation, similar to other desktop applications.
Well its a very demanding game so far..and the new ATI's HD4**0 series aint playing it too well..It should be landing on my doorstep today or tomorrow..Cant wait to play it..
