In game name colour

Has anybody else come across people ingame with a different name colour? I was on one server where two guys had bright green names above their head (on opposite teams) and it was getting very annoying as you couldnt tell which one was on your team. Then another joined our clan server the other day with a red name and playing on my side it got rather confusing too.

Anybody else seen this and is there a way to stop it? Please dont post on here how to do it as we dont want everybody doing it

well for 1 almost everyone knows how to do it. 2 its annoying as all hell. I'm with you on hoping this changes.

There is no way to stop someone from doing it. If they are on your server, however, (as well as mine if I had one up) you should ban them.

Once enough of these guys get the message, they will change it. Ive seen people have a change of heart and do it.

Doesnt make sense why the changed it after cod4. You could change your name color there too but it only showed up in the standings and server list. IN game it was still the right color. How blind was treyarch not to realize people could use this as a advantage?

I've seen that some servers specifically forbid the use of ign name colours other than white.

Thats what its going to have to come to. I am lucky as I can tell the uniforms apart before I see the red (or green) name. The green is not the exact same color, but its enough to confuse people.

I dont think they meant to do this as this bug is assocated with a feature CoD4 did not have.

Luckily I usually play on FF-Off servers. I shoot first and step over the body later. There are no questions. The one time I did accidentally join an HC server I saw a green name pop up over a guy's head right as I shot him. I thought I was screwed until the +10 popped up...
Like I said in a different thread: some chock blocks will use anything and everything to gain an advantage in games. These regurgitated stains would cheat at solitaire and go-fish.

I'm pretty sure the "change" wasn't made on purpose. It's most likely just an unexpected bug with the colouring system. It's getting a lot of complaints, so I would be surprised if it isn't fixed in the next patch or two.

I have come across a few players doing it now and it is getting really annoying but once you fall for it once you are a bit more alert and it doesnt usually happen again.
