    Coaxial - any good?

Tried out the Coaxial perk for tanks today, seems useless to me! Seems to be no real control over where the bullets are going, or am I doing something wrong? What are your thoughts, experiences?

It doesnt control bullets but how the turret moves around. It speeds it up. Its pretty useful, but I like ordinance training better myself.

As I understand - the coaxial perk allows you to operate the small machine gun by pressing the 'G' button & it kind of follows the main gun of the tank when you have positioned that in front of yourself - just seems to randomly fire sometimes in strange directions.

Oh yea, silly me. I was thinking of the greased bearing perk.

No, that perk sucks. You cannot control how the gun shoots other than by moving the entire tank and any bumps in the road alter the path of bullets.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks it is useless!

The gun does not shoot out the turret; it shoots from the body of the tank. So you have to turn the tank in the direction you want to shoot. Its alright, but I think the faster reloads on the cannon is just as good.

Though you risk getting sniped, switching to the machine gun is faster and a bit more fun

I havent found a use for it as of yet and find ordinance training much better.

I've had great success with this perk in the beta. The key is that the bullets CAN be controlled, it just has a limited range of about 50 degrees. Very useful IMO when you have about 6 guys running at you with satchels ready to destroy you.

How are the bullets controlled? 50 degrees is a pretty good range and may make the perk more useful.

i tried it and have to agree the faster reloading is much more useful. I would like to know how to control the aim tho

It would be better if it came out of the turret.
