Well I just cant get my microphone to work ingame it works in Vent perfectly, xfire and Counter Strike but why not BF2? Can any body give me a troubleshooting guide!?

when your in battlefield 2 go to options>audio and make sure enable voip is checked off, also make sure your transmit volume is up and that you set your microphone threshold to a good setting. Alternativley make sure the sever you are joining has voip enabled.
for the microphone threshold there is a button that says start test or somthing like that click it and speak into the microphone, a little bar should go from green to red put it to where it just turns from green to red when you talk. -

Well thats kind of the problem it dosnt pick up any thing I yell into it and dosnt do any thing. Is there like a config for the microphone settings for the game out of the game?Comment

actually yes. There is a microphone configuration setting when you install the game...but I don't know if you can get to it without reinstalling. You might wanna check that out if you remember changing sliders on it when you installed the game.Comment

Quite a few people have problems getting mic to work in bf, I heard of a few fixes, but nothing definate.
Running all bf2voip.exe's as administrator/compatability mode.
Reducing sound acceleration in start > run > dxdiag.
Changing audio drivers from HD to AC97 (realtek).
I gave up and bought a new soundcard, bf2voicesetup still didn't work, but the mic test ingame worked.Comment
