Call of Duty: World at War - Profile Backup

Since days now (actually since day 1) Treyarch has some issues with their WaW Master Server. So it can happen, when you log in, your Rank - Weapons - Challenges data is gone. And once lost you can never get it back !

How to make your own back up of your profile so if it happens (again) you won't loose it all ?

One click on this .bat file automatically places a back up of your COD World at War player profile into
your Documents folder in case you loose it or have to re-install the game.

There is one for XP and one for Vista. Both are in the zip. ReadMe with directions included.

Excellent tool, will come in handy incase anything drastic happens.

I don't think you have to. When the tool makes a backup copy, it puts both the date, and the time into the name of the backup folder (eg. COD5Backup-11_19_2008_16 _14 (16_14 is the time)), so unless you make a backup less than 1 minute after the last one, you should be fine, and even have the choice of how far back you'd like to go.

Just lost all my exp/levels.
My pc did a weird crash/restart in the middle of a mp game and I opened codwaw back up and wondered why none of my controls were the same.
Went into a game and all my stuff is now gone....

Or the most easy with vista use your search tool and search AppData After you go at local/codwaw/player/profile:thumbsup:

PLEASE HELP ME EXPLAIN

I showed hidden folders but still, cannot find folder marked "Local Settings"

It is getting annoying and i would prefer not having to pay for the mistakes of Activision.

"Local Settings" will be called something else if you are not using an English Windows.

In my case on an XP:

C:\Documents and Settings\MyUserName\Lokale indstillinger\Application Data\Activision\CoDWaW\players\profiles\MyProfileName

Or just search for the mpdata file.

Please be very careful with any Profile Back-up that you download.
